Rainbow Kitchen’s Anti-Hunger Programs provide a source of nutritious supplemental food for low-income individuals and families:
- The Breakfast Program provides a substantial, balanced hot meal each weekday morning. Most of our breakfast participants are elderly, homeless and/or have one or more physical or mental health problems. For many, this is their only meal of the day. Breakfast is served from 9:30 am – 10:30 am, Monday through Friday, at Rainbow Kitchen.
- The Rainbow Kitchen Food Pantry serves residents of five communities of the Steel Valley. The pantry provides at least a 5 day supply of supplemental groceries, as well as essential non-food items, currently serving 300 income-eligible households each month.
- Rainbow Kitchen also operates the Loving Arms Food Pantry, the Living Well Food Pantry, and the Methouse Food Pantry.These food pantries serve an additional 225 low-income elderly and disabled residents of local retirement apartment complexes each month. Participants receive at least a 5 day supply of nutritious supplemental groceries every month.
Kids Cafe is designed to meet the needs of low-income children who are at risk of hunger. Operating in collaboration with area programs serving at-risk youth, Kids Café provides participating children with a hot, balanced, nutritious dinner meal, Monday through Friday, year round. Last year, Kids Cafe provided more than 19,000 meals to help meet the nutritional needs of over 200 hungry children.

Time: 2nd Thursday of each month, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Rainbow Kitchen Seniors Pantry
Time: 2nd Wednesday of each month, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Loving Arms Food Pantry serves residents of the Homestead Apartments only.
Time: 3rd Wednesday of each month, 9:00 am – 11:30 am
Living Well Food Pantry serves residents of the Munhall Retirement Apartments only.
Time: 2nd Monday of the month, 9:00 am – 11:00am
Methouse Food Pantry serves residents of the Methouse Apartments only.
Time: 2nd Monday of the month, 9:00 am – 11:00am
